Possible Causes

Open heating element, Blown thermal fuse in series with heater, Loose heater connector on PCB, Broken heater wiring harness

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect from mains and allow the unit to cool. Internal metal parts may be sharp; wear cut-resistant gloves.

  • Step 1 – Confirm symptom: Start a cooking cycle and feel for air movement (fan) but no heat. Then unplug immediately.
  • Step 2 – Access heater circuit: Remove the outer cover to expose the heater assembly and wiring. Trace the heater wires from the element to the thermal fuse and then to the main PCB.
  • Step 3 – Check connections: Reseat all push-on connectors to the heater and thermal fuse. Look for loose or oxidized terminals.
  • Step 4 – Test continuity: With a multimeter, test continuity from one heater terminal through the thermal fuse to the other heater terminal. If open, isolate whether the heater coil or the thermal fuse is open by testing each separately.
  • Step 5 – Replace failed part: Replace an open thermal fuse with the exact temperature and current rating specified for your Moulinex model. If the heater coil is open (infinite resistance), replace the entire heating element assembly.
  • Step 6 – Inspect PCB relay: If heater and fuse are good, check the heater relay on the PCB for burnt contacts or cracked solder joints. Replace the main control board if defective.
