Possible Causes

Seized convection fan motor, Obstruction preventing fan rotation, Failed fan motor winding, Faulty fan driver circuit on main PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the air fryer and wait until all internal parts are cool. Never insert tools into the fan area while the unit is connected.

  • Step 1 – Check for obstructions: Remove the basket and drawer. Look up toward the fan behind the heater guard. Use a flashlight to check for food debris, warped plastic, or foil blocking the fan blades.
  • Step 2 – Manually spin the fan: With the unit unplugged and the top cover removed (if accessible), gently try to rotate the fan blades by hand. They should spin freely. If stiff or jammed, remove any debris or replace the fan motor if the shaft is seized.
  • Step 3 – Test motor windings: Disconnect the fan motor connector from the PCB. Measure resistance across the motor terminals. An open circuit or extremely low resistance indicates a faulty motor.
  • Step 4 – Inspect wiring and connector: Check the fan harness for cuts, burns, or loose pins. Reseat the connector firmly on the PCB.
  • Step 5 – PCB driver check: If the motor tests good and spins freely, the fan driver circuit or triac on the main PCB may have failed. Replace the main control board if no voltage is supplied to the fan during operation (testing should be done only by a qualified technician with proper isolation and safety).
