E7 is displayed and the air fryer will not start; sometimes accompanied by rapid beeping.

Safety first: Unplug the unit before inspecting the basket switch mechanism.

• Step 1 – Check basket insertion: Remove the basket and drawer completely, then reinsert firmly until you hear or feel a click. Ensure no food residue is preventing full insertion.
• Step 2 – Inspect switch actuator: Look at the area where the basket slides in; locate the plastic tab or lever that presses the internal microswitch. If it is bent, cracked, or worn, it may not fully engage the switch.
• Step 3 – Access the switch: Remove the side or bottom panel to reach the basket/door microswitch. Verify that the switch is securely mounted and that its lever moves when the basket is inserted.
• Step 4 – Electrical test: Disconnect the switch and test continuity with a multimeter while pressing the actuator. The switch should change from open to closed (or vice versa). Replace the switch if it does not change state reliably.
• Step 5 – Check wiring: Inspect the two or three wires going from the switch to the main PCB for breaks or loose connectors. Reseat connectors firmly.
• Step 6 – Replace damaged parts: Replace the basket detection microswitch or the plastic actuator guide if worn or broken. If the switch and wiring are good but E7 persists, the input circuit on the main PCB may be faulty.
