Possible Causes
Stuck or welded heater relay, Failed triac or solid-state relay, Control board trace damage, Overheated relay contacts
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the air fryer. Internal high-voltage components can retain charge; avoid touching the control board unless you are trained.
- Step 1 – Reset attempt: After unplugging for 10 minutes, plug back in and try a low-temperature cycle. If E08 reappears immediately, suspect the control board.
- Step 2 – Listen for relay: Start a cycle and listen for a click from inside the unit. Rapid clicking or no click at all can indicate relay failure.
- Step 3 – Visual inspection (advanced): Remove the housing and inspect the control board. Look for darkened areas around the relay, cracked solder joints, or burnt traces.
- Step 4 – Do not attempt DIY relay replacement without skill: Replacing a relay requires soldering and knowledge of mains safety. In most cases, the entire control board is replaced.
- Step 5 – Professional service: If E08 persists, arrange for control board replacement through Ninja or a qualified appliance technician.
