Possible Causes
Faulty drawer sensor on one zone, Misaligned drawer, Damaged dual-zone harness, Control board zone driver fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before inspecting drawers or internal wiring.
- Step 1 – Check drawer insertion: Remove both drawers and reinsert them firmly one at a time. Ensure each drawer is fully seated and flush with the front panel.
- Step 2 – Swap drawers (if identical): Swap the left and right drawers. If the error follows the drawer, the issue may be with the drawer's mechanical tab or guide. If it stays on the same side, the sensor or wiring for that zone is suspect.
- Step 3 – Inspect drawer tabs: Look for broken or worn plastic tabs that actuate the internal drawer sensors. Clean any debris from the drawer rails.
- Step 4 – Internal sensor check (advanced): With the unit unplugged, remove the outer shell and locate the drawer presence switches for each zone. Verify that the actuators move freely and that the wiring harness is intact.
- Step 5 – Professional repair: If a sensor is broken or the harness is damaged, replacement is required. Dual-zone detection is a safety feature and should not be bypassed.
