Possible Causes

Damaged food temperature probe, Dirty or wet probe jack, Broken probe cable, Faulty probe detection circuit on control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the unit before inserting or removing any probe accessories.

  • Step 1 – Remove probe: If a food probe is connected, unplug it from the jack and inspect the plug for grease or moisture. Wipe clean and dry thoroughly.
  • Step 2 – Inspect cable: Check the probe cable for cuts, kinks, or melted sections. A damaged cable can short the sensor circuit.
  • Step 3 – Try without probe: Some models allow operation without the probe. Remove the probe completely and attempt a standard air fry cycle. If E14 clears, the probe is likely faulty.
  • Step 4 – Clean probe jack: Use a dry cotton swab to gently clean the probe jack on the unit. Do not use liquids inside the jack.
  • Step 5 – Replacement: If E14 only appears when the probe is connected, replace the probe. If it appears even with no probe, the control board's probe circuit may be faulty.
