Oster air fryer shuts off when the basket is bumped or moved slightly during cooking.

Safety: Allow the unit to cool before adjusting internal switches.

• Observe behavior: Gently wiggle the basket handle during operation. If the unit shuts off, the safety switch is too sensitive or loose.
• Inspect basket tab: Check the plastic tab that engages the switch for wear or damage. Replace the basket if the tab is worn down.
• Adjust switch (advanced): Access the basket switch and slightly adjust its position so it is fully engaged when the basket is inserted. Tighten mounting screws.
• Replace switch: If the switch is intermittent when tested with a multimeter, replace it with an Oster-compatible microswitch.
