Possible Causes
Warped or damaged frying pan, Cracked non-stick coating exposing metal seams, Overfilled basket with high-fat foods, Missing or damaged pan gasket
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the unit to cool before handling hot oil.
- Check fill level: Do not exceed the maximum fill line in the basket or pan. Excess fat can overflow.
- Inspect pan: Remove the pan and check for warping, cracks, or gaps at the corners. Replace if damaged.
- Check gasket: Some Panasonic pans use a silicone gasket around the edge. Inspect for tears or missing sections and replace if needed.
- Clean residue: Wipe any oil from the base of the unit to prevent odors and smoke.
Warning: Do not operate the air fryer with a cracked or leaking pan; hot oil can cause burns.
