Possible Causes
Disconnected NTC sensor plug, Broken NTC sensor lead, Damaged wiring harness to sensor, Corroded connector on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before any inspection.
- Power reset: Leave unplugged for 5 minutes, then reconnect and try again. Sometimes E1 can be triggered by a transient fault.
- Check for moisture: If the unit was recently cleaned aggressively or exposed to steam, allow it to dry for several hours in a warm, dry room, then test again.
- Inspect externally: Without opening the case, check that no wires are pinched or damaged where they enter the cooking cavity.
- Service needed: If E1 persists, the NTC sensor or its wiring is likely open and must be tested and replaced.
Warning: NTC sensor replacement involves disassembling the heater/fan area. Only attempt if you are comfortable with appliance disassembly and electrical safety.
