Possible Causes
Intermittent lid switch, Misaligned lid magnet and reed sensor (if used), Broken hinge causing unstable contact, Faulty input circuit on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the air fryer.
- Inspect lid movement: Open and close the lid slowly. It should move smoothly without side play. Tighten any accessible hinge screws.
- Clean around sensor area: If your model uses a magnetic lid sensor, gently clean the magnet and sensor area with a dry cloth.
- Test closure: Plug in, close the lid firmly, and start a short cycle. If F04 appears when the lid is touched or moved, the sensor is likely intermittent.
- Service: Replace the lid switch or sensor assembly if the error persists.
Warning: Do not attempt to bypass lid safety sensors.
