Possible Causes
Basket detection switch not engaged, Basket not fully seated, Bent basket rail guides, Failed basket sensor switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and let it cool.
- Reinsert the basket: Remove the frying basket and cooking pan completely. Check for warped metal, bent rails, or stuck food. Reinsert the pan fully until it clicks into place.
- Clean contact areas: Wipe the basket rails and the interior guides with a damp cloth to remove grease buildup that can prevent full insertion.
- Check basket switch: With the unit unplugged, locate the basket detection switch (usually a small lever or button near the basket slot). Gently press it and confirm it moves freely and clicks. Clean around it with a soft brush.
- Test operation: Plug in, insert the basket firmly, and start a short program. If U14 still appears, the basket detection switch or its wiring harness may be defective.
Warning: Do not operate the air fryer without the basket/pan properly installed.
