Possible Causes
Bent internal rails, Warped basket or pan from overheating, Food debris hardened in rails, Damaged non-stick coating causing sticking
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the unit to cool before attempting to free a stuck basket.
Steps:
- Clean rails: Remove the basket and pan. Clean the side rails and contact points thoroughly to remove burnt-on grease or food.
- Inspect for warping: Check the basket and pan for distortion. Replace if they no longer sit flat or slide smoothly.
- Rail alignment: Inspect internal metal rails for bending. Gently straighten if slightly bent; replace the inner housing if severely deformed.
- Non-stick care: Avoid metal utensils that can damage the coating and cause sticking.
Warning: Forcing a jammed basket can damage the safety switch and internal structure.
