Possible Causes
Partially failing heating element, Mispositioned cavity sensor, Excessive grease on sensor or heater, Faulty temperature control circuit on main board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug and allow the unit to cool before inspection.
Steps:
- Clean interior: Remove heavy grease deposits from the heater guard and cavity walls. Built-up grease can insulate and distort temperature readings.
- Check sensor placement: Ensure the main NTC sensor is properly clipped in its bracket near the heater or air outlet and not dangling or touching the heater coil directly.
- Heater test: Measure heater resistance and compare to typical values for your model. A significantly higher resistance than normal can indicate a weakened element that still heats but too slowly.
- Board evaluation: If heater and sensor are correct, the control board's regulation circuit may be faulty. Replace the main control board if E14 persists and heating performance is poor.
Warning: Do not bend the heater coil aggressively; it can crack and fail.
