Possible Causes
Open heating element, Blown thermal fuse on heater, Failed heater relay or triac on control board, Loose heater wiring connection
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug and allow the unit to cool fully before accessing the heater area.
Basic checks:
- Temperature setting: Confirm a temperature above room temperature is selected and that preheat time is sufficient.
Internal checks (advanced):
- Access heater: Remove rear/bottom covers to expose the heating element terminals and thermal devices.
- Visual inspection: Look for broken heater coils, burnt connectors, or discolored wiring.
- Test heater: Disconnect one heater lead and measure resistance across the element. OL indicates an open element that must be replaced.
- Check thermal fuse: Test continuity through any inline thermal fuse or high-limit thermostat. Replace if open.
- Board output: If heater and thermal devices are good, the heater relay/triac on the control board may have failed; replace the board.
