Possible Causes
Failed convection fan motor, Jammed fan blade due to debris, Loose fan motor connector, Faulty fan driver circuit on main control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the appliance to cool before opening.
Steps to troubleshoot E6:
- Check for obstructions: Look through the rear or top grill to see if any foreign objects are blocking the fan. Do not insert metal tools through the grill.
- Access fan assembly: Remove the outer housing and internal shroud to reach the convection fan motor and blade. Manually spin the fan; it should rotate freely without scraping.
- Inspect wiring: Verify the fan motor connector is fully seated on the control PCB and that the wires are not pinched or burned.
- Test motor: With the motor disconnected, measure its resistance. An open circuit or very high resistance indicates a failed motor. If safe and you are experienced, you can briefly power the motor with the correct mains voltage through an isolation device to confirm operation.
- Replace components: Replace a seized or open convection fan motor. If the motor tests good but E6 persists and the fan never receives voltage, the main control PCB is likely faulty.
