Possible Causes

NTC sensor reading too low due to poor contact with heater housing, Sensor dislodged from mounting clip, Faulty NTC sensor with drifted resistance, Loose sensor connector on PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the unit to cool.

Steps to troubleshoot H1:

  • Check sensor mounting: Access the top interior and locate the NTC sensor. Ensure it is firmly clipped to the metal housing near the heater and not hanging loose.
  • Inspect wiring and connector: Follow the sensor wires to the control PCB. Reseat the connector and check for damaged insulation.
  • Measure resistance: At room temperature, measure the sensor resistance and compare to Princess specifications for your model. A significantly out-of-range value indicates a failing sensor.
  • Replace sensor: If the sensor is loose, damaged, or out of spec, install a new NTC temperature sensor assembly and secure it in the correct position.
