Possible Causes

Door/basket not fully closed, Faulty start button, Failed door switch, Control PCB input failure

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug before opening the unit. Do not force the drawer closed.

Steps to get the unit to start:

  • Check drawer closure: Ensure the drawer/basket assembly is fully inserted until it clicks. Remove any obstruction around the front opening.
  • Test door switch: Listen for a click when inserting the drawer. If absent, inspect the door/basket switch and actuator tab for damage.
  • Check start button: Press the start button repeatedly and feel for a positive click. If it feels mushy or intermittent, the keypad may be faulty.
  • Internal testing: With the unit unplugged, test continuity of the door switch and start button (if mechanical) with a multimeter.
  • Replace faulty parts: Replace the door switch or touch control panel as needed. If inputs are good but the board does not respond, replace the main control PCB.

Warning: Bypassing the door switch to force operation is unsafe and not recommended.
