Safety first: Unplug the air fryer and allow it to cool. Do not insert fingers or tools into the fan while plugged in.
Steps to reduce fan noise:
- Check for debris: Remove the basket and drawer. Look up at the fan and heater assembly. Remove any loose food pieces or foil with long tweezers.
- Access fan assembly: Remove the top cover to expose the fan. Inspect the fan blade for cracks, warping, or looseness on the motor shaft.
- Tighten fan nut/screw: If the fan is held by a nut or screw, ensure it is snug (do not overtighten and strip threads).
- Spin test: Manually spin the fan. Roughness, grinding, or side‑to‑side play indicates worn motor bearings.
- Replace fan motor: If bearings are noisy, replace the complete Pro Breeze fan motor assembly. Transfer the fan blade if it is in good condition, or replace the blade as well if damaged.
Warning: Operating with a damaged fan can lead to overheating and further damage to the heater and control board.
