Possible Causes
Aged or drifting NTC sensor, Sensor not in correct position, Control PCB calibration error, Excessive grease on sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Use a food‑safe thermometer to verify actual food temperature until the issue is resolved.
Steps to improve temperature accuracy:
- Verify with thermometer: Place an oven thermometer in the basket and run the air fryer at a known setting (e.g., 180°C). Compare the reading after preheating.
- Clean sensor area: Clean the interior, especially around the temperature sensor (usually near the heater or exhaust), to remove grease that can insulate it.
- Check sensor mounting: Ensure the NTC sensor is firmly attached to its bracket and located where designed. Reposition if it has slipped.
- Replace sensor: If readings are consistently off by a large margin, replace the cabinet NTC temperature sensor.
- Control board replacement: If a new sensor does not correct the issue, the control PCB calibration may be faulty and the board should be replaced.
Warning: Always check internal food temperature for safety, especially with meats.
