E10 error code appears and the unit shuts down or will not start, often after long use.
Safety Warning
This repair may involve working with high voltage components or water connections. Always unplug the appliance before removing any panels.
If you are not confident in your ability to perform this repair safely, we strongly recommend contacting a professional technician.
Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Immediately unplug the air fryer if you see E10, smell burning, or see smoke. Do not attempt to restart until inspected.
Steps to troubleshoot E10:
- Visual and smell check: Remove the basket and drawer. Smell for burnt plastic or wiring. Look for soot or melted areas around the heater and fan.
- Inspect wiring: Remove the bottom and/or rear cover. Carefully inspect all wiring harnesses for melted insulation, exposed copper, or contact with metal edges.
- Check heater and fan: Disconnect the heating element and fan motor one at a time and test continuity to the metal chassis. Any continuity indicates a short to ground and the part must be replaced.
- Component isolation: With a multimeter, measure resistance across the heater and fan. Extremely low resistance (near 0 Ω) suggests an internal short.
- Replace shorted parts: Replace any shorted heater, fan motor, or damaged wiring harness with genuine Pro Breeze components.
- Control board check: If all loads test normal, the control PCB may have a shorted triac, relay, or power supply component and should be replaced.
Warning: Do not continue using the air fryer if E10 recurs after part replacement. Persistent overcurrent faults are a fire and shock hazard.
