• Check for obstructions: Remove the basket and drawer. Look up toward the fan and heater assembly. Ensure no food debris, parchment paper, or accessories are jammed in the fan guard.
• Spin test: With the unit unplugged, gently spin the fan blades with a non‑metal tool through the guard. It should rotate freely without grinding or sticking. If stiff, the motor bearings may be failing.
• Access fan motor: Remove the top or rear cover (depending on model) to expose the fan motor assembly. Inspect the motor wires and connector to the control board. Reseat the connector firmly.
• Check for overheating: Look for discoloration or melted insulation on the motor or wiring. A burnt smell indicates motor failure.
• Voltage test (advanced): With extreme caution and only if qualified, you can test for voltage at the motor terminals when the unit is powered and calling for fan operation. Lack of voltage suggests a control board or relay issue.
• Replace motor if needed: If the fan is mechanically seized or the winding is open (no continuity), replace the Pro Breeze air fryer fan motor assembly. Transfer the fan blade to the new motor if required and ensure it is securely fastened.
