E7 appears on the display and the unit will not start or stops unexpectedly.

Safety first: Unplug the air fryer before inspecting the switch or internal wiring.

Steps to resolve E7:

• Check basket insertion: Remove the basket and drawer completely, then reinsert them firmly until you hear or feel a click. Ensure no food or foil is trapped around the drawer edges.
• Inspect actuator tab: On the side or rear of the drawer, locate the small plastic actuator tab that presses the internal switch. If it is bent or broken, the switch will not engage. Replace the drawer or repair the tab if possible.
• Locate the door switch: With the unit unplugged, remove the side or bottom cover to access the door/basket interlock switch. It is usually a small microswitch near the front of the chassis.
• Test the switch: Press the switch lever by hand and listen for a click. Use a multimeter to test continuity when pressed. If there is no continuity, replace the switch.
• Check wiring: Ensure the switch wires are firmly connected and not broken or pinched. Reseat the connector on the control board.
• Reassemble and test: After replacing or adjusting the switch, reassemble the housing, plug in the unit, and test with the drawer fully inserted.

Warning: Do not bypass the door/basket switch; it is a critical safety device that prevents operation with the drawer open.
