• 1. Identify noise source: Run the unit briefly and listen to determine if the noise comes from the top, rear, or bottom. Then unplug.
• 2. Check for loose items: Remove the basket and drawer. Inspect for loose accessories or food pieces that may contact the fan or heater.
• 3. Access the fan assembly: Remove the top or rear cover to expose the fan. Check that the fan nut or screw is tight and that the blades are not bent or cracked.
• 4. Remove debris: Clear any foreign objects or heavy grease deposits from around the fan and heater.
• 5. Check motor bearings: Spin the fan by hand. If it feels rough, wobbly, or makes grinding sounds, the motor bearings are worn and the fan motor should be replaced.
• 6. Tighten mounts: Tighten all screws securing the fan bracket, heater plate, and internal panels to reduce vibration.
• 7. Reassemble and test: After adjustments or motor replacement, reassemble and run a test cycle to confirm noise reduction.
