Possible Causes

Seized or obstructed fan blades, Failed fan motor, Loose fan motor connector, Faulty fan driver circuit on main PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the Proscenic air fryer and let it cool. Moving parts and sharp metal edges are present inside.

Steps to resolve E6:

  • 1. Listen for fan operation: When you attempt to start a cycle (before unplugging), note whether you hear the fan start. If the fan is silent or makes grinding noises, a fan fault is likely.
  • 2. Access the fan: Remove the top or rear cover (model dependent) to expose the fan assembly above or behind the heating element. Remove any protective grille if necessary.
  • 3. Check for obstructions: Inspect the fan blades for food debris, grease buildup, or foreign objects. Carefully remove any obstruction and clean the blades with a damp cloth. Ensure the fan spins freely by hand.
  • 4. Inspect wiring: Follow the fan motor wires to the main PCB. Confirm the connector is fully seated and that there are no cuts or burn marks on the harness.
  • 5. Test the motor (advanced): If you have a multimeter, check the motor windings for continuity according to the motor type (AC or DC). An open winding indicates a failed motor that must be replaced.
  • 6. Check the PCB fan driver: If the motor and wiring appear good but the fan never receives power, the fan driver circuit or relay on the main PCB may be defective. Replace the main control board if you see burnt components or if voltage is not supplied to the fan during operation.
  • 7. Reassemble and test: After cleaning or replacing the fan motor, reassemble all covers and run a test cycle. Confirm that the fan starts immediately and that E6 does not reappear.

Warning: Do not operate the air fryer with the fan removed or disabled; this can cause severe overheating.
