Possible Causes
Loose ribbon cable between touch panel and main PCB, Damaged capacitive touch panel, Moisture or grease under control panel, Failed main control board interface
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the air fryer before removing the control panel or top cover.
Steps to address E7:
- 1. Power cycle: Unplug the unit for 5–10 minutes, then reconnect. If E7 returns immediately, continue.
- 2. Inspect the control panel area: Wipe the surface of the touch panel with a slightly damp, non-abrasive cloth to remove grease and moisture. Dry thoroughly and test again.
- 3. Access the control board: Remove the top cover or front bezel to expose the control PCB and touch panel assembly. Carefully detach any clips.
- 4. Check ribbon cables: Locate the flat ribbon cable or multi-pin connector between the touch panel and the main control board. Reseat both ends by unplugging and firmly reconnecting. Ensure the cable is not kinked or damaged.
- 5. Inspect for liquid damage: Look for signs of moisture, corrosion, or sticky residue on the control PCB. Clean light residue with isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush. If corrosion is extensive, replace the control panel or PCB.
- 6. Test buttons: With the unit reassembled, plug it in and test all touch keys. If some keys still do not respond and E7 persists, the touch panel membrane or the main PCB is likely defective and should be replaced.
Warning: Do not spray cleaner directly onto the control panel; always apply it to a cloth first to avoid liquid ingress.
