Steps to correct immediate-finish behavior:
- 1. Clean control panel: Wipe the start/pause button area to remove grease that may cause false touches.
- 2. Power reset: Unplug for 10 minutes, then plug back in and attempt to start a simple manual program.
- 3. Check basket detection: Ensure the basket is fully inserted and the detection switch is functioning (see related entry). A bouncing switch can cause the unit to think the drawer was removed.
- 4. Inspect start button: Open the control panel and check the tactile switch or touch sensor for physical damage. Replace the switch or touch panel if faulty.
