Possible Causes
Basket not fully inserted, Faulty basket detection microswitch, Misaligned drawer rails, Broken drawer latch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before mechanical adjustments.
- Check drawer fit: Remove and reinsert the basket/drawer firmly until it clicks. Ensure no parchment paper or accessories are blocking closure.
- Inspect rails and latch: Look for bent metal rails or warped plastic that prevents full insertion. Clean any crumbs or grease from the rail tracks.
- Test with light pressure: With the unit plugged in, gently press the drawer inward while pressing Start. If it begins to run only when pressed, the basket detection switch or latch is misaligned.
- Access switch: Unplug, remove the outer shell as needed, and locate the microswitch near the drawer front. Adjust its position so the drawer tab fully depresses it when closed.
- Replace faulty parts: If the switch does not click or fails continuity tests, replace the microswitch. If the drawer tab is broken, replace the drawer/basket assembly.
