How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the appliance before opening the control panel.
- Access control panel: Remove screws securing the front/top control panel. Carefully lift it to expose the display PCB and wiring.
- Check ribbon cable: Locate the flat ribbon or multi-wire harness between the display PCB and the main control PCB. Ensure both ends are fully seated.
- Clean connectors: Gently unplug the ribbon, inspect for corrosion or contamination, and clean contacts with isopropyl alcohol. Allow to dry fully before reconnecting.
- Inspect for damage: Look for cracked solder joints on the display PCB connector and any signs of liquid ingress.
- Reseat and secure: Reconnect the ribbon, ensuring it is straight and locked in place. Use cable ties to prevent movement if necessary.
- Test operation: Reassemble the panel loosely, plug in, and test. If E9 persists, either the display PCB or the main control PCB may be defective and require replacement.
