- Check blade clearance: Ensure the fan blades are not rubbing the shroud. Adjust the fan position on the shaft if necessary.
- Assess bearings: Spin the fan by hand. If you feel grinding or hear squeaks, the fan motor bearings are worn.
- Replace motor: Remove the fan blade, disconnect wiring, and unbolt the motor. Install a new Russell Hobbs fan motor assembly, refit the fan, and ensure correct alignment.
