Safety: Unplug and let the unit cool before opening.

Initial check: Run the unit briefly with an empty basket to confirm the noise comes from the fan area.
Access fan: Remove the rear/top cover to expose the fan and shroud.
Inspect blades: Look for bent or cracked blades. Gently straighten minor bends; replace the fan blade assembly if badly damaged.
Check for debris: Remove any loose screws, food particles, or plastic pieces inside the fan housing.
Tighten fan nut: Ensure the fan is firmly secured to the motor shaft. Tighten the retaining nut or screw.
Assess motor bearings: Spin the fan by hand. If it feels rough or wobbly, the fan motor bearings may be worn and the motor should be replaced.
Reassemble and test: Refit the cover and test for quiet operation.

Loud rattling or grinding noise from the top of the air fryer during operation.
