Possible Causes
Faulty Start/Stop touch sensor, Stuck control logic on MCU, Loose UI ribbon cable, Child lock or safety mode engaged (model dependent)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before opening the control panel.
- Check for lock mode: Consult the user manual for any child lock or panel lock feature. Try the documented key combination to unlock.
- Power reset: Unplug the fryer for 5–10 minutes, then plug back in and test again.
- Panel cleaning: Clean the touch area with a soft cloth to remove grease that may interfere with capacitive sensing.
- Inspect ribbon cable: If comfortable, remove the control panel and reseat the ribbon cable between the UI and main board.
- UI replacement: If only the Start button area is unresponsive while other buttons work, the touch panel assembly may need replacement.
