Safety first: Unplug and allow to cool before accessing the fan area.

Initial check: Remove the basket and look up at the fan. Use a flashlight to check for loose screws or debris.
Remove debris: Carefully remove any food pieces, foil, or other objects from the fan area using non‑metallic tools.
Access fan assembly: Remove the outer housing and top cover to reach the fan. Check that the fan nut or screw is tight on the motor shaft.
Straighten or replace fan blade: If blades are bent and scraping the shroud, gently straighten them. If cracks are present, replace the fan blade.
Assess motor bearings: Spin the motor shaft by hand. Roughness, play, or noise indicates worn bearings; replace the fan motor assembly.
Reassemble and test: After tightening and cleaning, reassemble and run the unit briefly to confirm noise reduction.
