Possible Causes
Broken basket latch hook, Worn basket handle mechanism, Misaligned basket detection switch actuator, Deformed front frame of pan
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before inspecting the latch or switch.
- Visual check: Inspect the basket latch hook and handle. Look for cracks or missing pieces that prevent proper engagement.
- Test detection switch: With the unit unplugged, press the basket detection switch manually (inside the cavity) and listen/feel for a click. If it does not click, replace the switch.
- Adjust actuator: Ensure the plastic tab or metal piece on the basket that presses the switch is not bent or worn. Slightly adjust or replace the basket if it no longer reaches the switch.
- Replace latch/handle: If the handle mechanism is loose or fails to lock, replace the basket handle/latch assembly or the entire basket.
