How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug before opening the control panel.
- Check mains voltage: Avoid using long extension leads that may cause voltage drop.
- Access display board: Remove the front fascia to expose the display module and its connectors.
- Reseat connectors: Gently unplug and replug the ribbon cable between the display and main PCB. Ensure it is fully seated.
- Inspect solder joints: Look for dull or cracked solder joints on the display board. Reflowing joints is an advanced task; otherwise, replace the display board.
- Replace display: If segments are permanently missing or the display remains dim, replace the display module or the entire control panel assembly.
