Possible Causes
Shorted basket switch wiring, Failed basket presence microswitch, Damaged reed sensor or magnet misalignment, Faulty input circuit on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the air fryer before inspecting the basket switch or internal wiring.
- Check basket fit: Ensure the cooking basket is fully inserted and latched. Remove and reinsert firmly to see if E11 clears.
- Inspect basket switch: Locate the basket detection switch or reed sensor near the front of the cavity where the basket handle engages. Check for broken plastic actuators or misaligned magnets.
- Test the switch: With the unit unplugged, access the switch from inside the housing. Use a multimeter to check continuity while pressing the switch or moving the basket in and out. Replace the switch if it does not change state reliably.
- Check wiring: Inspect the two or three wires leading from the switch to the PCB for pinches or shorts to the metal chassis. Repair or replace damaged wiring.
- PCB input: If the switch and wiring test good but E11 persists, the basket detection input on the main PCB may be shorted or failed, requiring PCB replacement.
