Buttons on the control panel respond intermittently or require very hard presses.

Safety first: Unplug before working on the control panel.

Cleaning and inspection:

• Clean the control surface with a mild cleaner and soft cloth.
• Remove the panel and inspect for moisture or grease on the back of the touch board; gently clean if present.
• Check the ribbon cable for damage and ensure it is fully seated.

Corrective action:

• Replace a worn or cracked touch control panel assembly if specific keys fail consistently.
