Possible Causes

Failed DC fan motor, Obstruction preventing fan rotation, Loose fan blade on motor shaft, Faulty fan driver circuit on main PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the air fryer and allow it to cool. Do not insert fingers into the fan area even when unplugged; use tools.

Initial checks:

  • Look through the rear or top vent (if visible) to see if the fan blade is obstructed by food debris, foil, or warped plastic. Remove any visible obstruction with long-nose pliers.

Internal inspection:

  • Remove the outer cover to access the fan and motor assembly behind the heater.
  • Check that the fan blade is firmly attached to the motor shaft and not cracked or warped.
  • Spin the fan by hand. It should rotate freely. If stiff or seized, the motor bearings may have failed.
  • Inspect wiring from the main PCB to the fan motor for loose connectors or burnt insulation.

Electrical tests:

  • With the unit unplugged, measure resistance across the fan motor terminals. An open circuit indicates a failed motor.
  • If you have the skills and safety equipment, you can power the motor briefly with its rated DC voltage (from a bench supply) to confirm operation, but this is optional and should only be done by experienced persons.

Corrective action:

  • Replace a seized or open circulation fan motor with a Samsung-compatible motor assembly.
  • Replace a damaged fan blade if it is cracked or unbalanced.
  • If the motor tests good but does not receive power, the main control PCB fan driver circuit may be faulty and require replacement.
