E7 appears on the display and the unit shuts down shortly after starting, often accompanied by a clicking sound.

Safety first: Disconnect from mains. Internal power supply components can retain charge; avoid touching capacitors immediately after unplugging.

• Check wall outlet: Test the outlet with another high‑load appliance. Avoid using long extension cords or multi‑plugs; plug the air fryer directly into a grounded outlet.
• Inspect mains cord and plug: Look for cuts, kinks, or burn marks on the Severin power cord and plug. Replace the cord set if damaged.
• Verify internal connections: Open the housing and locate the mains input terminals and any small mains filter board. Ensure all spade connectors are tight and there are no signs of overheating.
• Examine SMPS section: On the main control PCB, inspect the power supply area (near the mains input) for bulging electrolytic capacitors, burnt resistors, or cracked solder joints. If any are present, replace the main control PCB or repair the SMPS if you are qualified.
• Test on a different circuit: Try another outlet on a different breaker to rule out household wiring issues.
