Possible Causes
Failed fan motor, Jammed fan blades, Loose fan motor connector, Faulty fan driver circuit on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and let it cool before opening.
Steps to restore fan operation:
- Visual check: Start a short cycle and look through the top or rear vents (without touching). If the fan does not spin, stop and unplug the unit.
- Inspect for obstructions: Remove the basket and check for food or foil stuck in the fan guard. Clear any debris.
- Access fan motor: Remove the cover to reach the convection fan motor. Check that the fan is firmly attached to the shaft.
- Spin test: Manually spin the fan. If it is stiff or seized, the motor is likely defective and must be replaced.
- Check wiring: Ensure the motor connector is fully seated on the main PCB and that wires are intact.
- Replace motor or PCB: Replace the convection fan motor if it is open or seized. If the motor tests good but never receives voltage, the main control PCB fan driver may be faulty.
Warning: Do not operate the air fryer with a non-functioning fan; this can cause overheating and damage.
