Possible Causes
Weak heating element, NTC temperature sensor out of calibration, Excessive grease on sensor or element, Faulty temperature control circuit on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug and cool the unit before internal inspection.
Steps to improve temperature accuracy:
- Verify with thermometer: Use an oven thermometer placed in the basket to compare actual temperature with the set value.
- Clean interior: Remove grease from the heating element, fan guard, and sensor area. Built-up grease can insulate heat and affect sensor readings.
- Check sensor placement: Ensure the NTC sensor is properly mounted in its bracket and not bent away from the airflow.
- Inspect heating element: If only part of the element glows or heats, it may be partially failed. Replace the heating element assembly.
- Sensor replacement: If the sensor reads significantly off compared to a known-good thermometer, replace the NTC temperature sensor.
Note: Some temperature variation is normal, but large discrepancies (over 20–30°C) indicate a fault.
