Possible Causes
Loose ribbon cable between touch panel and main PCB, Damaged touch control PCB, Moisture ingress behind control panel, Faulty main control PCB interface
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the appliance from power before removing the control panel.
Steps to address E7:
- Power reset: Unplug the unit for 10 minutes, then reconnect and test. Temporary static or firmware glitches can sometimes trigger E7.
- Dry the panel: If the control panel was recently cleaned with liquid, leave the unit unplugged for several hours to allow moisture to evaporate. Do not spray cleaner directly onto the panel; apply it to a cloth instead.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the front bezel or top cover to access the touch control PCB. Check that the flat ribbon cable is fully inserted and locked into its connector on both the panel and main PCB.
- Check for corrosion: Look for signs of corrosion or residue on the control PCB. Light corrosion can sometimes be cleaned with isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush.
- Replace faulty panel: If certain buttons or touch areas never respond and E7 persists, replace the touch control panel assembly. If a new panel does not resolve the issue, the main control PCB may be defective.
Warning: Avoid using sharp objects on the touch panel; this can damage the conductive layers and cause permanent faults.
