Possible Causes

Partially failed heating element (hot spots, reduced output), Weak mains voltage, Failing heater relay with intermittent contact, Temperature sensor misreading high

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug before internal checks.

Steps:

  • 1. Confirm load and settings: Avoid overfilling the basket and ensure the temperature and time are set according to the recipe.
  • 2. Measure actual temperature: Place an oven thermometer in the basket and run at a known setting (e.g., 200°C). Compare the reading after 10–15 minutes.
  • 3. Inspect element: Look for darkened or broken sections of the heating element. A partially failed element may still heat but with reduced power.
  • 4. Check wiring and connectors: Loose or oxidized heater connectors can reduce current flow. Clean and tighten as needed.
  • 5. Sensor check: If the sensor reads too hot, the control will limit heater output. Inspect and, if necessary, replace the NTC sensor.

Note: If household voltage is consistently low, overall performance will suffer; try a different circuit if possible.
