Steps:

• 1. Confirm settings: Ensure a temperature above ambient is selected and that the unit is not in a fan-only mode (if available).
• 2. Visual check: During operation (with caution), look through the basket opening to see if the element glows faintly red after a few minutes. If it never glows, proceed to internal checks (after unplugging).
• 3. Access heater terminals: Remove the base cover and locate the heater terminals and wiring.
• 4. Test continuity: With a multimeter, measure resistance across the heating element. An open reading indicates a failed element that must be replaced.
• 5. Check thermal fuse: Locate any inline thermal fuse or thermostat in series with the heater. Test for continuity; replace if open.
• 6. Inspect relay: On the main control PCB, identify the heater relay. Look for burn marks or melted solder joints. If the relay is not clicking or is visibly damaged, the PCB will likely need replacement.

Note: Do not bypass safety devices to restore heat; always replace with correct-rated parts.
