Strong persistent food odors remain in the air fryer even after cleaning.

Steps:

• 1. Deep clean basket and pan: Soak in hot soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
• 2. Clean interior surfaces: Wipe the cavity, heater guard, and fan guard with a mild degreaser on a cloth. Do not soak the interior.
• 3. Check filters: If your Sunbeam model has an odor or grease filter near the exhaust, remove and clean or replace it according to the manual.
• 4. Deodorize: Run the unit empty with a small dish of water and lemon slices in the basket for 10–15 minutes to help neutralize odors.
