Possible Causes
Blown internal PCB fuse, Faulty mains power cord, Failed main control PCB power supply, Loose live/neutral connection inside terminal block
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the plug is removed from the socket before opening the unit. Mains voltage is lethal.
- External checks: Confirm the wall socket and any extension lead are working. Check the plug fuse (UK models) and replace only with the correct rating.
- Inspect power cord: Look for cuts, kinks, or burn marks. If damaged, replace the entire cord; do not tape over damage.
- Access terminal block: Remove the rear or bottom cover to locate where the power cord enters the unit. Check that live and neutral wires are firmly clamped and not loose or burnt.
- Check PCB fuse: On the main PCB, locate the small fuse and test continuity. If blown, replace with the same rating. If it blows again immediately, the PCB or another component is shorted and requires professional diagnosis.
If there is still no power after these checks, the main control PCB is likely faulty and should be replaced.
