Safety first: Unplug the air fryer and allow it to cool. The fan and heater area can be very hot immediately after use.

• Check for obvious obstruction: Remove the basket and drawer. Look up toward the fan through the heater guard. Use a flashlight to check for food pieces, foil, or warped plastic obstructing the fan. Remove any debris with long tweezers; do not bend the guard.
• Spin test: With the unit unplugged and the top cover removed (if accessible), gently spin the fan by hand. It should rotate freely without grinding. If it is stiff or scraping, the motor bearings may be failing or the fan may be misaligned on the shaft.
• Inspect wiring: Locate the fan motor connector on the main PCB. Ensure it is fully seated and that wires are not pinched or burnt.
• Power‑on observation: Reassemble enough to safely power the unit (all covers in place). Start a program and listen for the fan. If it hums but does not spin, the motor is likely defective. If it does not attempt to start at all, suspect the PCB or motor.
• Replacement: If the fan is seized or noisy, replace the complete fan motor assembly. Transfer the fan blade carefully to the new motor if it is a separate part.

Do not operate the air fryer with a non‑functional fan; this can cause rapid overheating and potential fire.
