Possible Causes
Blown internal fuse on control board, Faulty power cord, Failed main control board power supply, Loose AC input connections
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the unit is unplugged before any disassembly. Do not bypass fuses.
External checks:
- Verify the wall outlet works by plugging in another appliance.
- Ensure the T-fal air fryer is plugged directly into the outlet (no surge protector or extension cord).
- Inspect the power cord for cuts, kinks, or burn marks.
Internal checks (advanced):
- Remove the housing to access the AC input and main control board.
- Locate the internal fuse (often a glass or ceramic fuse near the AC input). Test it with a multimeter for continuity.
- If the fuse is blown, inspect for obvious shorts (burned heater, wiring, or board). Replace the fuse only with the same type and rating.
- Check that the AC input wires are securely attached to the board or terminal block.
- If the fuse is good but there is still no power, the power supply section of the control board is likely faulty and the main control board should be replaced.
If a new fuse blows immediately, stop and locate the underlying short before replacing more fuses.
