Possible Causes
Aged NTC sensor with shifted resistance curve, Poor thermal contact between sensor and heater housing, Firmware calibration error, Loose sensor mounting clip
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before internal inspection.
- Verify symptom: Use an oven thermometer placed in the basket to compare set temperature vs actual. Large deviations (>20°C) indicate a control issue.
- Check sensor mounting:
- Access the heater area and locate the NTC sensor.
- Ensure it is firmly clipped to the metal surface and not hanging loose in the air stream.
- Re-seat connector: Disconnect and reconnect the sensor plug on the PCB to clear any oxidation.
- Sensor replacement: If E11 persists and temperature is inaccurate, replace the NTC sensor with a compatible Tefal part.
- Firmware/PCB: If a new sensor does not resolve the issue, the main control board may have a calibration fault and require replacement.
