Possible Causes
Open heating element in Tefal heater module, Loose spade connector on heater terminals, Failed heater relay on main PCB, Broken heater wiring harness
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the air fryer before any disassembly.
- Basic checks:
- Confirm that the timer and temperature are set correctly and that the basket is fully inserted.
- Try a different outlet to rule out supply issues.
- Internal inspection (advanced):
- Remove the top cover to access the heater terminals.
- Check that both heater connectors are firmly attached and not oxidized or loose.
- Inspect the wiring harness for breaks or signs of overheating.
- Heater continuity test: With the unit unplugged, measure resistance across the heater terminals. An infinite reading (OL) indicates a failed heater that must be replaced.
- Relay/PCB issues: If the heater tests good but never receives voltage when the unit is running (requires live testing by a qualified person), the heater relay or PCB is likely faulty and should be replaced as an assembly.
