E8 error appears and the air fryer shuts off unexpectedly during cooking, often when the basket is moved.

• Check basket insertion: Ensure the cooking drawer is fully pushed in until it clicks. Partial insertion can trigger E8.
• Inspect the latch:
  • Remove the basket and look at the underside/front of the control panel where the drawer slides in.
  • Identify the small plastic tab or protrusion on the drawer that actuates the internal switch.
  • If the tab is cracked or worn, the switch may not engage reliably.
• Test the switch (advanced):
  • With the unit unplugged, remove the front cover to access the microswitch.
  • Press the switch lever by hand; you should hear a distinct click.
  • Check continuity across the switch terminals when pressed and released. Replace if intermittent or open.
• Temporary workaround: Do not tape or bypass the safety switch; it prevents operation with the drawer open. Replace the faulty switch or drawer assembly.
